Outpatient Physical Therapy
We offer outpatient physical therapy to aging adults who may have experienced pain, weakness, reduced range of motion or deconditioning due to an injury, illness, surgery or a chronic condition. We treat balance and all orthopedic conditions from head to toe, including:

Fitness sessions created to improve overall activity levels. Each session is performed under the guidance of a physical therapist who understands the unique needs of the aging adult and those individuals with chronic conditions. Fall Prevention

In recognition of Falls Prevention Week, this seminar will cover current fall statistics, screening options, risk factors and ways to reduce your chances of falling. The information presented will be based on the latest info from the CDC's STEADI (Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths & Injuries) Program. Attendees will receive a screening questionnaire that can be used to discuss any fall concerns with their primary care physician or practitioner.

Low Back Pain

Most people have experienced some form of back pain at one point in their lives. This seminar will cover some common causes of low back pain in the senior age group, a brief review of involved anatomical structures and different treatment options. Topics will include: herniated discs, spondylolisthesis and stenosis. Information presented will be based on current research and attendees should leave feeling comfortable discussing their low back concerns with their primary care physician or practitioner.

The Benefits of Stretching

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that “not every exercise is for everyone”. Well, the same can be said about stretching. Furthermore, the technique, timing and type are just as important. This seminar will focus on the many benefits of stretching and ways to safely incorporate it into your lifestyle. Attendees will receive a handout illustrating stretches to address common age related postural changes.
